Add a touch of nostalgia to your Christmas holiday decor this year. This vintage nativity group from the 1950s has been "well loved", but still has lots of charm. All of the pieces are marked Japan on the base. The sheep appears to perhaps be from a different set, but, hard to say for sure. It still fits in well.

The pieces are larger than some sets, with the tallest wise man measuring about 12 3/8" tall. The shepherd boy is about 9" tall, and the camel is about 7" long.

The painting on the faces is skillfully executed, and the colors overall are pleasing.

The pieces in the set are: Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, the Three Wise Men, shepherd boy, donkey, sheep, camel, and cow or some type of cattle.

The love the set received in the past (possibly from some playful grandchildren?) resulted in a number of shallow chips and scrapes, Joseph lost the top part of his staff, and the cow lost a horn. These papier mache figures have a cover over the hole that is on the base of each, except one of them is missing the cover.

I could not post pictures of each individual flaw, but tried to show various views of the pieces so that you could evaluate the set. If you need additional pictures, I can send some to you either through Etsy messages or email.

If one or more items neither the same nor similar are available to be shipped, the customer can request to cancel the order entirely, thus the total cost of the order including shipping and handling cost will be fully refunded.
